The Wasserkuppe Mountain
The Wasserkuppe (950m) is the highest mountain in Hessia. It
is located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhoen, near the border
triangle of Bavaria, Hessia and Thuringia, an hour's drive east of
Frankfurt am Main.
The large, unobstructed slopes are ideal for gliding. Since
the beginning of aviation about 100 years ago, the
Wasserkuppe is therefore regarded as the "Mountain of the Airmen".
Today, the Wasserkuppe provides unique and diverse natural and recreational activities. Whether alone, in pairs, with family or with the tour group - the Wasserkuppe Mountain is always worth a visit.
As a guest at the Hotel Deutscher Flieger, you have the Rhoen just a stone's throw away!
